Mozilla hits mobile market with its Seabird Mobile concept series
Since Mozilla Labs launched the Concept Series with an open call for participation we’ve had thousands of people join in, share ideas and develop concepts around Firefox, the Mozilla projects and the Open Web as a whole.
In response to our open call Billy May, in early 2009, produced a throw-away concept for an“Open Web Concept Phone”. Working directly off of that community feedback, Billy has since finished the exploration with his concept “Seabird”.

Overview
The Mozilla Seabird, part of the Mozilla Labs’ Concept Series, is an experiment in how users might interact with their mobile content as devices and technology advances. Drawing on insights culled from the Mozilla community through the project’s blog, a focus quickly developed around frustrating physical interactions. While mobile CPUs, connectivity and development platforms begin approaching that of desktops, the lagging ability to efficiently input information has grown ever more pronounced.
Interaction
The Seabird, then, introduces a few possibilities into how user interaction might evolve with the advancing motion capture and projector driven innovation in the market. First out, the Seabird imagines how a multiple use dongle might augment the crowded gestural interface with greater precision and direct manipulation of content in 3D space.
Pico Projector
With mobile phone companies such as Samsung, LG and Motorola moving towards display applications for projectors, the technology remains open for expanding user interaction and input at the same time. The Seabird, on just a flat surface, enables netbook-quality interaction by working with the projector’s angular distortion to deliver interface, rather than content. With the benefit of a dock, each projector works independently and delivers laptop levels of efficiency.
Design
The form development took its cues from various aerodynamic, avian and decidedly feminine forms. Its erect posture intends a sense of poise while its supine conformity to the hand reconciles that with the user’s desire for digital control. The curvature of the back also serves a functional role in elevating the projector lens elements when lying flat.
Seabird is a community-driven exploration and does not mean that Mozilla has plans to produce an OS or hardware at the moment. Find out more about Mozilla Firefox for Mobile here.

Go to Tools >> Option >> Select Modem Type NDIS (For 3g sim) >> Click OK
Go to Tools >> Option >>Profile Management >> Select New >> Enter Service Provider Name
into Profile name (Type - Bsnl3G) >> Select Static >> Enter APN - bsnlnet (for west/north & east users) >> Press Save Button.
Check network - Go to Tools >> Option >> Network >> Check Network Type as WCDMA Preferred >> Click OK
Check signal (tower) as WCDMA BSNL 3G or WCDMA BSNL or HSDPA BSNL 3G at left bottom.
Go to Connection - Select Bsnl3G Under Profile Name - Click Connect.

How to Book Confirmed Tatkal Train Tickets [IRCTC] Indian Railway
Not just the less quota is responsible for it but also there are many issues like Server Failure (due to load or done deliberately), Mass booking by IRCTC Agents and moreover Luck.
Here, I will share some tricks using scripts and addons by which you can get aconfirmed tatkal ticket on the go. Most of the Time is consumed filling up form details so, we’ll try to minimize that first.
Tatkal Train ticket booking starts at 8 AM. So, you need to gear up early (say 7:30 AM) to make all the settings to make form filling and bank transaction speedier.
What all you need to get Confirmed Tatkal Tickets
- Firefox browser. Download from the bottom right button saying “Get Firefox”
- Install Autofill Addon and restart Firefox.
1. Fill up all the details as per your travel plan.
2. Enter the following script in address bar and press Enter to enable right click on page.
javascript:void(document.oncontextmenu=null)3. Right click on any text field on the page and select “Add complete form as Profile”
If name is not edited, form profile will be saved as www.irctc.co.in.
All set, now when the clock reads 8:00:00 AM, click on Quick Book. Right click on anywhere on page and select
“Fill out this form >> www.irctc.co.in”
You may have to run the script mentioned above again if the page prompts saying “Sorry, You don’t have permission to right click”
Done, Hit on Quick Book button at the bottom of page to continue bank transaction. It is recommended to disable SMS High Security PIN for IRCTC as it will again eat up some time.
Tips while booking Tatkal Tickets
Personally, I booked 3 confirm tatkal tickets in two days. What you have take care during complete procedure is not to refresh the page or hit any button again being impatient. This will result in Failure at later stage.
No matter how many times you are welcomed with page reading “Service Unavailable“, open the IRCTC homepage in new tab and continue login following the procedure. It doesn’t take more than 20 seconds to do so.
What does CKWL Tatkal Ticket means?
In rare chance, it may happen that while moving on to bank webpage, you are shown Availability but till you come back, the ticket provided has status CKWL.
CKWL means the Waiting List in Tatkal Quota which differs from GNWL (General Waiting List). In my case, CKWL 5 was cleared up within 2 hours of booking but it may vary train to train.
The above procedure tries to minimize the time spent in filling up forms and speed up tatkal booking so, you can grab confirm tatkal ticket before the quota is over. Good Luck and let us know your success rate in getting a confirm tatkal ticket.ou may
